Get the basics right
Most people hate giving presentations (because they’ve never been taught how), along with that is the fact that most research talks are boring, and people don’t want to be dull.
So what do you do instead?
Well lots, but we’ve got to start somewhere. And that somewhere is the fundamentals, stuff you somehow don’t get taught at school but are things everyone should be doing if they are talking to an audience.
Things like, what to talk about, where to stand, and crucially, how not to have slides that put people to sleep.
This session is perfect for those new to presenting, don’t know where to start, or just hate the whole thing and want to be better.
